Currently in NYC — June 6, 2024: A damp mix of thundershowers and humidity

The weather, currently. 

Thursday will feel like we’re living in a ventless bathroom after a hot shower. Not only will some showers and thunderstorms dampen our day, but the dewpoint will be near 70°F. Quick refresher: 70°F+ dewpoints are well into the oppressive range. Prepare to sweat. Our high hits 81°F with a sultry breeze out of the southwest. 

Fun fact of the day: we have exactly 15 hours of daylight to sweat through — I mean, to work with. Sunrise is at 5:25am and sunset is at 8:25pm. It’s sweat rags on the subway season, people. May every subway car you choose have working A/C.
