Currently in NYC — June 18, 2024: Sunny and hot

The weather, currently. 

It’s the first day of our hot stretch of weather. Temperatures jump up to 90°F under mostly sunny skies. The humidity increases as does my jealousy of those living in cooler climates. There are already heat advisories for much of New Jersey and the lower Hudson Valley.

While Tuesday will be steamy, our peak heat still looks to be Thursday and Friday. Take it easy out there and stay hydrated. It’s mid-June and we’re accustomed to this type of weather. It’s the consecutive days of hot temperatures and higher humidity that will wear us down. Stay cool!
