Currently in NYC — August 30, 2024: A feeling of change
Plus, a special message from our Founder, Eric Holthaus
The weather, currently.
A feeling of change
There’s always something a little melancholy about Labor Day weekend. The air soon cools, we re-open schools, and there’s a feeling of change. Like summer, all good things come to an end. This is our last newsletter. I will miss Currently, and our steadfast founder and champion, Eric Holthaus, and I will miss all of you, devoted readers.
Soon, the leaves will morph into majestic reds and yellows. Winter will follow. I leave you with this thought: time is like a snowfall. Every snowflake represents a moment- each intricate and beautiful and full of wonder. Though every minute eventually melts away- it sure is beautiful while it’s here. Wishing you the best of everything, but especially, the best of weather.
Programming note:
Today’s issue will be the last for Currently NYC until we can secure a more stable source of funding. Thank you so much to each of our readers and members for the opportunity to deliver local weather and climate news to you daily for the past 3 ½ years.
If you’d like to help brainstorm ways for keeping this newsletter running, please reach out to me personally, I’d love to chat: [email protected]
May you have good weather,
Eric Holthaus,
